I highlight this in almost every episode of the Security Today Podcast  TEKnowledge Worldwide  is a non-profit that consists of ~450 technicians, business owners, a sprinkle of reps and some manufacturers all over the low-voltage #industry. From #MSP, IT support/#cyber security, #physicalsecurity - Alarm, Access, Video, #audiovisual, #wireless engineers and the list goes on and on. If it's technology, someone in TKW does it or knows about it. You can join the group for free, get guidance from people who've already done what you're thinking about doing, or who have already installed that device, that software, those systems.  Join here: teknowledge.org (press the big green button 'Join TKW today'). You get entered into a slack community and you now have access to hundreds of technicians, all over North America and beyond. Oh... that's not where it stops. They have events like their #tkmeetup where groups of these business owners, technicians, technology experts get together in different parts of the US to just hit a round of golf, drink a beer and connect with others in our field. Still going... They have conventions, #Tekfest is where they partner with companies like Eaton , ProdataKey , ZKTeco, Brother USA, Vertical Cable, Simply45 LLC, Platinum Tools - NSI Industries Brand, a couple of distributors and more. They host classes that teach you about RMR, Access Control, Fiber Splicing and more. The cherry on top (my favorite part)... TKW has introduced a new #genre of #philanthropy never before seen called #Teksgiving. Where through manufacturer, company, individual and member donations; places like Philly's Beracha Church, inner-city Baltimore Gym, Mission Fit and this year North Carolina's La Escuelita Bilingual Preschool gets a TOTAL TECH REFRESH through charity. Meaning, network, rack, switching, cyber, cameras, access, locks, wifi, and more get donated and installed and maintained by Teknowldege World Wide and it's members. Dozen's of Technicians will fly out and in a matter of 2-4 days install and cable entire sites that outside of charity, could never afford a tech refresh. There isn't a community like this in the lowvolt industry. #Trust me, I've checked.
