I’m in my FEELS 🥹 Today marks the last day of our summer reading program, and it has been an ABSOLUTE JOY to work with these incredible learners. Watching them grow as readers has been a true honor, and I’m so grateful to have been part of their literacy journey 🩷 For our final celebration, they requested a “Give a kid a cookie, lemonade, Inside Out movie pajama day” 😂 And of course, I took their request VERY seriously 🤟🏾 When I say I follow the lead of the child, I mean it—in how they like to learn and how they like to play. Here’s to the end of an amazing 10 weeks filled with learning, growing, listening, and playing 🩷🩷 To the parents that entrusted me with their most prized possessions three days a week for 10 weeks, I thank you from my bottom of my heart ❤️

Meet my friend, a dinosaur loving, super silly kid genius, who’s been working on story sequencing this week! Together we explored Dragon Gets By by Dav Pilkey and listened to the audio for an extra layer of reading comprehension support. He absolutely LOVED the silly antics in this story! During his retelling, he encountered a challenge that brought up big emotions—he couldn’t figure out how to draw his dinosaur. But here’s where the magic of play-based learning came through: in a moment of pure genius, he looked around the room and found a solution! He spotted a fidget shaped like a dinosaur and used it to trace the most perfect dino. This moment reminds us that even in the face of big emotions, when learning is infused with play, children find creative solutions to their problems. It’s all about nurturing resilience and resourcefulness in our young learners! #KidGenius #KidsFindSolutions #PlayAllDayEveryDay
