🌞This was my second EU PVSEC, in the beautiful city Vienna. While I’m not a technical expert, my focus is on integrating people into the energy transition. That’s why I was excited to see presentations and have discussions about the social acceptance of PV. I had the opportunity to present SERENDI-PV's collaborative platform, COPLASIMON, and I truly hope the solar community adopts more sharing, listening, and collaboration—this is what we need everywhere. Women in PV session was a highlight for me (special congratulations to my dear colleague Stefanie🩵). We, as women, have so much -need- to share, so that we find solutions together. The interactive workshop on social acceptance of integrated PV was also insightful, revealing that many of the challenges we face already have answers as well! I also presented my poster on the IWG5 Buildings - Implementation Working Group on Energy Efficiency in Buildings project, which emphasizes the importance of public acceptance in energy-efficient buildings. This theme of social participation surfaced from time to time throughout the week, but particularly during the final presentation by Silvia (heartfelt thanks 🩵), speaking on behalf of the ETIP PV - The European Technology & Innovation Platform for Photovoltaics / Social PV working group, which was fully inspiring for me. 🌟 We had a fruitful session this morning at the EU PVSEC, bringing together industry leaders and researchers to discuss critical advancements in photovoltaic technology in the frame of #SERENDIPV. ✨ Presentations included: “Why is Detail Important; How to Filter Erroneous PV Measurements to Retain Enough Data for Analysis” by Solargis – A deep dive into optimizing data. “Advanced Quality Assurance Procedures for the New PV Plant Generation” by Qualifying Photovoltaics – Exploring cutting-edge quality control practices for solar plants. “Estimating and Visualizing Flexibility of PV Plants in Low Voltage Grids” by Technische Hochschule Ulm – Insightful strategies for grid integration. “Collaborative Modelling & Monitoring Platform” by WIP Renewable Energies on behalf of LuciSun – A look at innovative collaboration tools for PV monitoring. We experienced great discussions and interaction with a large audience, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and innovation in our industry.
