Your custodial team may work quietly behind the scenes, but their impact on daily operations speaks volumes. By maintaining clean and safe spaces, they set the tone for a productive day and create environments where we can all thrive. A custodian’s role, though often overlooked, is crucial to our success. They are the unsung heroes who ensure that every corner of our workspace is ready for excellence, allowing us to focus on doing our best work. As we continue to celebrate Custodial Appreciation Month, don’t forget to thank a janitorial team member for their hard work!

At Service by Medallion, our commitment to service excellence starts with our exceptional team. We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve been recognized as a San Francisco Chronicle Top Workplace for the fifth time—a distinction that reflects genuine feedback directly from our employees. At a recent company event, we asked our team what sets Medallion apart. The unanimous answer? “It’s the people.” We are deeply proud of our culture, which nurtures personal growth and fosters an exceptional sense of teamwork. Congrats to these amazing property service workers at Oracle in Redwood City who graduated from BSP's Green Janitor Education Programs. The program provides hands-on energy management and green cleaning training earning janitors a seat at the sustainability table while reducing the carbon footprint of buildings. Service by Medallion's team Trino Cardenas, Mark Cornish, and Kyle Hartz enthusiastically joined the event and provided lunch to the graduates, making this day even more special. During the ceremony, Nataly Valdivieso Berg, BSP Workforce Development Coordinator - East Bay, created a special section where three students presented a recycling project. They explained how they came up with the project, and why recycling was important in their lives and the community. Thank you to Rosa Celis, Estela Rueda, and Maria Denise Monge for their lovely projects. Similarly, student Rosemary Cortez shared her experience about how BSP's classes helped her become a leader in sharing green cleaning practices with other women working independently in the industry at her apartment building. A special thanks to BSP's industry partners for bringing educational opportunities to workers! cc: USGBC California
