Ben focuses on quality control and construction administration, and has years of experience in the commercial retail sector, with project types spanning ground-up construction, expansions, takeovers, renovations, and tenant finish out for a variety of clients. Last week, Anna, Stephen, Edward, Eugenio and I had the opportunity to network with industry leaders and professionals at the 2024 Autodesk University conference. We attended a variety of courses within the AEC industry that helped us grow as individuals and as a team within SGA. These courses provided resources, strategies and guidance targeting our specific needs as a company and for our clients. It was an enriching, energetic and eye-opening experience and we are so appreciative for SGAs confidence in us to attend and bring back valuable information to our offices. It was a blast! On Friday, employees from all three of our companies participated in #volunteer projects in Tulsa and OKC. Inspired by the Tulsa Area United Way Day of Caring, we spent time at Palmer Addiction Recovery Services improving their bike shed and removing overgrown landscaping, as well as Eden Village of Tulsa connecting conduit across the acreage, filling in trenches, placing irrigation line for future use in the garden area, installing curb stops in the parking lot, and laying sod. Our Oklahoma City group connected with the OKC City Rescue Mission and volunteered in the kitchen serving lunch to men, women, children and handicapped individuals. The Bentonville office will join the efforts later this week at the Northwest Arkansas Children's Shelter.
