Seeing so much momentum in standards interoperability amongst our security peers at #Oktane24 and #Authenticate24 this week! "Okta has announced a new, open-source identity security standard for SaaS providers, calling it...(IPSIE). The new security framework, set to be adopted by Microsoft, Google, Ping Identity, BeyondIdentity, and SGNL among others, is aimed at improving “end-to-end security” for SaaS-based identities." https://lnkd.in/gF2QkNjX

Modern Privileged Identity Management
About us
SGNL’s modern privileged identity management system eliminates standing access to critical systems, granting and revoking contextual access in real-time, drastically reducing the blast radius of a possible breach. Regardless of how an identity breach infiltrates your workforce, SGNL brings in context-based intelligence and prevents them from freely navigating cloud applications like Azure, AWS, GitHub, and Salesforce, as well as on-prem systems. In today’s era of persistent identity attacks, high-risk standing access is a serious threat to critical enterprise systems. Traditional IGA, RBAC, and PAM approaches fall short because they simply weren’t designed for today’s identity-centric security perimeter. SGNL’s dynamic approach to access management achieves Zero Standing Privilege across your cloud applications like Azure, AWS, GitHub, and Salesforce, as well as on-prem systems. It’s why global enterprises and fast-growing mid-market companies alike are turning to SGNL to reduce their identity attack surfaces, and why SGNL is backed by top security technology investors including Cisco and Microsoft.

Over the last few months I have been working on ideas about modern IAM architecture, what it contains, and how to think about it. This is the first of four posts that expand on my previous thoughts. This post will examine the principles that should inform a modern IAM architecture. The second post will offer up a way to think about the systems a modern IAM architecture enables and protects along with the controls it provides. The third post will describe a notional architecture that embodies the principles discussed next and allows for the deployment of IAM controls. Lastly, I will talk about how to get started building a modern IAM architecture. And with that I present part of 1 “Enterprise Patterns for Modern IAM: https://lnkd.in/e-6dHYUv

SGNL will have two implementations in the CAEP Interoperability Event that includes Google, Okta, Cisco, IBM and others. The event, coordinated by SGNL CTO, Atul Tulshibagwale, will be held at the upcoming Gartner IAM Summit from Dec 9-11 in Grapevine, TX. Check out SGNL's latest blog post that describes it: https://lnkd.in/dBiPsyUP

SGNLers just returned from the annual "Summer Sesh" in San Diego. Adventurous and fun, it was filled with productive sessions too! Can you guess what Atul Tulshibagwale and Nicholas Holbrook are doing in "prison"?!

XDR is a critical security technology, but the response options it typically offers are forceful. CAEP on the other hand, is a way to precisely modulate session properties. SGNL's VP of Product, Marc Jordan shows how SGNL helps you make a CAEP scalpel from an XDR hammer. https://lnkd.in/gjAqb3KK

SGNL is proud to have contributed the entire initial code for the Tratteria open source project. Non-human identities are an area of urgent concern, and implementing Transaction Tokens can greatly secure Kubernetes environments which sometimes might use insecure practices. Strengthening authentication has rightfully been a focus of organizations, given that most attacks leverage compromised identities. Organizations must, however, ensure that even if an identity gets breached (which is almost inevitable), the damage is minimal. This is what SGNL CTO Atul Tulshibagwale means by "de-valuing authentication". Read all about it in this latest blog post: https://lnkd.in/gRD4miA6
De-Value Authentication; De-Value the Attack Vector
