We are thrilled to announce the inaugural cohort of the Equitable Futures Fellowship, a groundbreaking program created in partnership between the Doris Duke Foundation and the East-West Center! These 16 exceptional leaders, selected for their commitment to equity, sustainability, and creativity, will collaborate to address some of the world's most pressing challenges from wealth disparities to impacts of the climate crisis. In response to global imbalances of wealth, access, and power, the Equitable Futures Fellowship is reimagining leadership by empowering diverse voices across government, communities, advocacy, media, technology, the arts, and entrepreneurship. Fellows will explore innovative approaches to tackle inequities in income, health care, education, and societal pluralism, while developing the skills to reshape governance and drive transformative change. Through in-person sessions in Hawai‘i and Aotearoa (New Zealand), as well as virtual meetings, fellows will build lasting networks and leadership capacities to create more just, resilient communities worldwide. Join us in recognizing these changemakers as they work to build a more equitable and sustainable future.
