Sharia's Closet is celebrating a new strategic partnership with UNIQLO USA. 🦋 💜 UNIQLO is partnering with Sharia’s Closet through an in-store clothing collection program, RE.UNIQLO. UNIQLO in San Diego, CA will collect gently used UNIQLO clothing from our customers and donate them to Sharia’s Closet, which is a 100% grassroots, community-funded, humanitarian group committed to providing free emergency clothing, hygiene kits and diapers to individuals and families experiencing financial hardship or crisis. #uniqlousa #Reuniqlo #shariascloset
About us
Sharia’s Closet 501(c) 3 is a tax-exempt not-for-profit community clothes closet. The objective of Sharia’s Closet is to serve people within our community who do not have clothing and shoes that are wearable on a daily basis due to the outcome of unfortunate social issues including natural disaster, mental illness, human trafficking, unemployment, injury, disability, age, domestic violence, refugees, transitional living, homeless, teenage pregnancy or lack of professional attire for interviews and/or workforce. We are a volunteer organization, and none of our members receive a salary. We do our work as a labor of love. We focus on providing individuals in need of emergency clothing with free clean gently used or new clothing items. Our direct referral system is through our organization from social workers, teachers, home visitors, caseworkers, and program directors from various social services agencies. Our clientèle includes a range of individuals, including newborns, infants, toddlers, preschool age, elementary, junior high, high school age, expectant teens, youths enrolled in juvenile justice programs, and adult men and women who have become displaced due to various emergency situations. Our referral process works by an employee with any social service agency or program that submits a request for clothing (Sharia’s Closet Referral) to Sharia’s Closet within 24 to 48 hours. A volunteer from Sharia’s Closet will then pack a bag with clothing items. The next step in the process includes one of our volunteers contacting the referring organization to schedule an appointment for pick up. Values Dignity | Respect | Personalization | Quality

Thank you to the Idara O. and the The Antorge Group, LLC for volunteering their time to assemble hygiene kits for children and adults! Special attribute the hygiene kit assembling to the team at AKISAN San Diego. This would not have happened, and so quickly, without them. 🦋 💜 **Looking for family/ group-friendly volunteer opportunities? ** Register at https://lnkd.in/gjzsyMNQ **Want to make a financial contribution to Sharia's Closet so more Bags of Hope can reach local vulnerable communities? ** Donate at: https://lnkd.in/gUUChnff to make a difference today!
