Starting off our week with a great Leadership Tip from our CEO Adam Ingersoll 🙌 Throughout the past 4-5 years, Shasta has tried to bring people into our team who are not only more experienced but very capable at their different positions. It is counterproductive to recruit great people with the expertise to help your office or our organization grow to the next level, and then micromanage them and tell them what to do. As you hire and train, it should be considered to hire those self-starters who can contribute immediately but that can also bring their background and experiences to the table to improve your office.    Quote of the week:

We would like to introduce and welcome Dr. David Khrapov ! He will be joining our Riverbend office 🙌 Here's a little bit about him... Dr. David was born in Uzbekistan on a mission trip and grew up as a pastor’s son. Moving from Wisconsin to the Big Island, Hawaii where he fell in love with surfing, fishing and the great outdoors. He discovered his passion for dentistry in high school. Started working as a dental assistant wishing to one day become a dentist. Driven by great commitment to whole person care and wellness he pursued higher education at Walla Walla university. This path guided him to Loma Linda University School of Dentistry where he immersed himself in learning and growth dedicated to the wellbeing of his future patients. He shares “Seeing how much Riverbend Family Dental cares for their patients, I knew this was the right family to join. Focused on providing comprehensive care that looks after every aspect of my patients’ well- being. My goal is to transform lives, one smile at a time.

Doctor-Partner Spotlight: Dr. Shaun Burlingame, DDS, MD., Oral Maxillofacial Surgeon, grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah, spending as much time outdoors as possible. While obtaining his BA in Biology with honors from the University of Utah, he met his wife Cassie, an Idaho native. After graduation, his educational journey took them out east to New York City where he earned his DDS from NYU College of Dentistry ranking in the top 5% of his class and being inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) dental honor society. During dental school, he developed an interest in oral and maxillofacial surgery and decided to continue his training at NYU Langone Health, Bellevue Hospital Center, Lenox Hill Hospital, and the Manhattan VA. He earned both his medical degree and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMS) certificate from NYU and then moved back out west to live the outdoor lifestyle he and his wife love. Dr Burlingame practices at Riverside Oral Surgery in Redding, CA and in his spare time, Dr. Burlingame and his wife both enjoy camping, hiking, biking, skiing/snowboarding, sports, boating, reading, and spending time with their two young children and their dog Ruth.

We'd like to welcome our new Orthodontist, Dr Kan Tsunoda, to the Empire Orthodontic Team! 🙌 👏 Dr. Kan Tsunoda grew up in Japan and Canada. He eventually moved to California where most of his immediate family and extended family live. He attended Brigham Young University and graduated with a degree in Neuroscience. He then attended Palmer College of Chiropractic graduating Summa Cum Laude, Salutatorian, and received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. He went on to dental school at Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine-Illinois, where he graduated with honors and received his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry. Dr. Tsunoda went on to complete his orthodontics residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), receiving a Master of Science in Oral Biology and Certificate in Orthodontics. During his time in professional school, Dr. Tsunoda also had the privilege of publishing scientific research in dental journals. He is detail oriented and creates the best smiles for you and your family. Outside the office, Dr. Tsunoda and his wife have four children. The eldest is attending University. The rest of the children attend High School, Middle School, and Elementary school. Dr. Tsunoda enjoys outdoor activities, including camping, skiing, snowboarding, fishing, mountain biking and visiting the beaches. He absolutely loves spending time with family.
