As we prepare to attend leading MedTech conferences this month, I reflect on the profound impact Dr. Nick Hopkins had on me personally and the industry overall. My relationship with Nick started at my first MedTech company EPI, where he was a key clinical contributor to developing the FilterWire. Over the years, we would continue to partner and look to create technologies to address the unmet needs of his patients. I will miss connecting with Nick at conferences and holding lively dialogues around how to advance care through MedTech innovation. He has left a lasting mark on so many and the Shifamed family feels fortunate to have worked with him and to have called him a friend.
