Today, we shine a spotlight on Torey Herzog as he recently marked a decade of service with Siemens and SGT. Working as an Infrastructure Architect on our Digital Solutions Team, his journey has been defined by his forward-thinking approach, dedication to our values, and contributions to our inclusive culture. Torey is enthusiastic about the future of our industry, particularly the advancements in Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR). "I’m excited to see what technology can be made and/or managed by our portfolio," he states. When reflecting on SGT’s culture, he highlights our inclusive environment, stating, "I have met many different people, with all types of backgrounds and experiences, and no matter where I am, I always feel welcomed." One fun fact about Torey: he once won a contest to name his city’s new street sweeper. So if you’re ever in Maryland Heights, MO, and see a street sweeper named "Lightning McClean," you’ll know who came up with the clever name! Outside of work, he and his wife enjoy hiking and have embarked on a mission to see a waterfall in every state. They have already visited 20 out of 50 waterfalls, with recent adventures taking them to places like Dunn’s Falls in Mississippi (pictured). Torey’s passion for technology, dedication to fostering a positive workplace culture, and zest for life’s adventures inspire us all, and we’re proud to congratulate him on his 10-year anniversary! #Siemens #SiemensGovernmentTechnologies #SGT #TeamSGT #ServiceAnniversary #EmployeeSpotlight #TeamSpotlight

On Buffalo Soldiers Day, Siemens Government Technologies honors the legacy of the Buffalo Soldiers, whose bravery and sacrifice left an indelible mark on our nation's history. Formed in 1866, these African American regiments played a pivotal role in the post-Civil War era, participating in numerous military campaigns and protecting our expanding frontier. At SGT, we are inspired by the Buffalo Soldiers' spirit of service at a time when segregation in the ranks was the standard. It wasn’t until President Harry Truman’s executive order in 1948 that racial segregation in the military was ended, long after the Buffalo Soldiers had earned their place in history as fearless fighters for their country. As we commemorate their contributions and reflect on the progress made in welcoming men and women of all backgrounds to serve our country, today we reflect on the profound impact of the Buffalo Soldiers and celebrate their enduring legacy. #Siemens #SiemensGovernmentTechnologies #SGT #NationalBuffaloSoldiersDay #DiversityAndInclusion #MilitaryHistory #HonoringHistory

On National Intern Day, we are proud to spotlight three exceptional interns who bring their diverse skills and dedication to our team. At Siemens Government Technologies we value the fresh perspectives and innovative ideas our interns contribute, and we are committed to providing them with meaningful, hands-on experiences that will shape their future careers. Today, we highlight the journeys and aspirations of Sabah Vahdatshoar, Samuel Arvy, and Mina Song. Sabah, a rising second year Columbus School of Law student at The Catholic University of America, serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Law and Technology. Through his internship, he aims to deepen his understanding of Government Contracts, a field he is passionate about. Samuel, a rising senior studying Supply Chain Management at Michigan State University, is an active member of the MSU Supply Chain Management Association, which provides him with numerous opportunities for personal growth, networking, and career preparation. During his internship, he hopes to gain hands-on experience at the interface of technology and government procurement processes, learning how projects are managed in a government context and developing skills in vendor and contract management. Mina Song is a rising fourth year at University of Iowa, where she majors in Business Analytics & Information Systems and Marketing. Last year, she served as President of the Tippie Senate, the business school's student government, where she worked to improve the experiences of her peers through organizational change. Mina hopes to learn how to apply her skills from the classroom to the office and expresses gratitude for the mentorship and meaningful connections she has received from SGT. We are extremely grateful towards our interns for their diligent work and expertise, and we are excited to see the impact these talented individuals will make during their time with us. #Siemens #SGT #SiemensGovernmentTechnologies #TeamSGT #NationalInternDay #Interns #InternSpotlight #EmployeeSpotlight

The urgency is undeniable: developing a comprehensive digital ecosystem is mission-critical for the future of national security. With the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence technologies, the rise of sophisticated cyber threats, and the resurgence of geopolitical adversaries, the United States Department of Defense (DoD) must leverage cutting-edge digital capabilities to maintain strategic superiority. Despite widespread recognition of the need for a digital ecosystem within government and the defense industry, the current pace of adoption does not meet the pressing demands of our time. Accelerating the implementation of these technologies is essential for the DoD to ensure national security and maintain a competitive edge.
