The rise in malicious drones is happening fast, and counter-UAS (C-UAS) systems are having a hard time keeping up. Most of these systems rely on multiple sensors to spot these drones, with radar being the go-to choice. But here's the catch: radar has its limitations. It has trouble spotting drones flying low or camouflaged against backgrounds like trees and mountains. Plus, radar isn't great at telling the difference between a bird and a drone.
