Friends, We're saddened to report due to the severe heat forecasts we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel Bike to the Future: Ride for Safer Streets on Sunday, October 6. We understand this may be disappointing, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause We are in a state of climate emergency, as our nation grapples with the aftermath of Hurricane Helene and California remains under excessive heat watch with unusually high temperatures. Now more than ever we encourage you to bike; however, the health and safety of our riders, volunteers, and staff are our top priorities. We appreciate your understanding as we prioritize their well-being. The heatwave may have halted Bike to the Future, but it hasn't derailed SVBC's mission for safer streets. We need your help to achieve our $60,000 goal by the end of the year. Your donation will directly fund our work to build a more resilient and sustainable future for everyone. Don't let the heatwave stop us from creating safer streets for all. Donate today: https://buff.ly/4gTCb8E Thank you to our Bike to the Future sponsor Supervisor Otto Lee for being a steadfast support of the Bike Movement and improving biking in Silicon Valley!
