Join SVBC and Live In Peace Inc. for a family friendly infrastructure ride through East Palo Alto to identify and discuss street safety improvements we would like to see! We'll be pedaling roughly 5 miles at a moderate pace, on city streets and bike lanes when available. This ride is appropriate for e-bikes, bikes, tandems, recumbents, trikes, and bikes with trailers. Join us for a ride exploring the City of Fremont's impressive bicycle infrastructure, co-hosted by the SVBC San Jose Local Team and Bike East Bay's Fremont Local Team. This is a unique opportunity to see firsthand the progress made under Fremont's successful Vision Zero program, which has significantly reduced traffic fatalities since its adoption in 2015. City representatives from San Jose and Fremont's transportation and public works departments will join us to share insights and discuss the challenges they face in their ongoing efforts to eliminate all traffic deaths. Now more than ever we encourage you to bike; however, the health and safety of our riders, volunteers, and staff are our top priorities.
