Daryl Anderson and I visited a rural school where we taught two 4th grade classes about electricity and Daryl made kits that allowed them to make simple circuits with lightbulbs and switches. It was great to see all the excitement that these young students had about making circuits and getting the lightbulbs to light while working with batteries and switches. They also were able to learn about AND and OR gates! One of the highlights was when a student was able to wire up his circuit and the lightbulb light and he yelled, “This is so cool.” This project was sponsored by a Grant from HP. We are grateful for their support and helping to bring STEM education to underserved populations.
