Development of the F-35 program originated in the early 90s. The fighter jet first flew in 2006 and it saw its first combat mission in 2018. The program is expected to stay into production for decades to come. Modern tools across the stack are making it possible to compress these decades-long development and product lifecycles into months and years. We had the privilege of having Zamora join the team this summer as Silkline’s very first intern! A CS student at Brown, Zamora has been a huge help with our frontend development and analyzing market trends. During Zamora’s internship, she built out our *entire* library of frontend components allowing us to test components in isolation. For startups that ship new code as quickly as we do, automating testing of frontend components is vital to preventing bugs when we deploy. Thank you Zamora! #nationalinternday

Exciting news! David Tomczyk is joining Silkline as a Founding Engineer! He brings a wealth of experience in engineering at other startups, most recently UpNext. David hit the ground running this week and shipped: - A brand new, shiny error page (that no one will ever see... 🤞) - A fix to our API naming conventions (so we can stay more sane) - A delicious Nando's order (Friday tradition!) ... and more amazing things to come!
