We are excited to see the next phase of development getting underway at the Wild Ridge Young Life Camp! This new multipurpose building will consist of a dining hall for up to 300 people plus a temporary club room, game room, camp store, snack bar and leader’s lounge. In the future, this building will transition to a dining hall for up to 600 people. Wild Ridge is being built on 1,100 acres of land along 1.7 miles of the Gauley River. When fully operational, this camp will be designed to host summer camp weeks for as many as 500 students per week, as well as weekend camping throughout the school year. Additionally, local Young Life leadership retreats, large- and small-group adult gatherings, and community outreach events will be hosted on the property. #sillingarchitects #wvyounglife #wildridge #clubroom #dininghall

Michael LeBoeuf, Chad Wentz, Mike Moore, Carmen Wong, Brian Estep, and Jeff McComas had the great pleasure of attending the 2024 AIA Academy of Architecture for Justice Fall Conference this past week in Kansas City, Missouri! The 3-day conference included a number of seminars and facility tours focused on best practices in courts, public safety, and corrections/detention facility planning and design. Friday's tours included the Johnson County Courthouse located in Olathe, KS, a 350,000 sf facility that includes 31 courtrooms, and the Lenexa Justice Center, a 100,000 sf police and municipal court facility + 23,000 sf training building. The Academy of Architecture for Justice (AAJ) promotes and fosters the exchange of information and knowledge between members, professional organizations, and the public for high-quality planning, design, and delivery of justice architecture. #sillingarchitects #justicearchitecture #academyofarchitectureforjustice
