Nashville Soccer Club enriches the city and brings diverse people together through the love of the world’s game. Since its founding as a Major League Soccer club in 2017, Nashville SC has played a role in making Music City a more welcoming place for immigrants and refugees. Nashville SC intentionally brings immigrant communities together and celebrates them through the GEODIS Community Flag program and through outreach efforts that highlight global aspects of the local community. Nashville SC has created a sense of welcome and belonging for Nashville’s immigrants, making them the 2024 Amplify Nashville Bridge Builders - the team that brings all Middle Tennesseans together.

This week is National Physician Assistant Week! We are thankful for the Physician Assistants who serve on staff, and as volunteers at Siloam Health, using their skills and time to care for our patients. Their commitment to providing excellent care makes a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve. Thank you for all that you do!

Marlen Santana Perez, originally from Cuba, is an immigration attorney and licensed mental health professional whose journey to practicing law has always been guided by one goal: to serve her community. She is a dedicated advocate committed to helping immigrants who, like her, have come to the United States with determination, faith, and a desire to enrich the community. Marlen’s unwavering dedication to serving those around her has earned her the title of this year’s Good Neighbor honoree at Amplify Nashville. A native of Iran, Farzin Ferdowsi is a business leader, entrepreneur, and philanthropist whose work in the Nashville community creates opportunities and shapes the landscape of the city. Farzin founded Management Resources Co. (MRCO), a company that operates more than 90 franchise restaurants and employs more than 2,000 people. He also serves on countless nonprofit boards across the city, regularly finding ways to lift others up and serve the community.
