🏅⚽ San José Pride Spotlight: Jim Zylker ⚽🏅 San José State University is proud to celebrate the incredible career of soccer legend Jim Zylker ('69), one of our most distinguished Spartan alumni. Jim made a lasting impact both on and off the field, representing SJSU and his community with skill and heart. While at SJSU, Jim was a standout player on the men's soccer team, earning All-American honors and leading the Spartans to multiple successful seasons. His time at SJSU was just the beginning of a career that would take him to the professional level, playing for the San José Earthquakes, where he helped establish the club's early dominance in American soccer. Jim's talent also took him to the world stage, where he proudly represented the United States at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, showing the world the determination and excellence that began right here in San José. Jim Zylker's connection to San José State goes beyond his playing days, as he remains an inspiration to young athletes and a pillar of the SJSU community.
