SmartStop is proud to announce the continuation of its partnership with The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) for the seventh consecutive year. In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, SmartStop will donate $5 to BCRF for every new unit rented throughout October, supporting critical breast cancer research advancement. Since the beginning of this partnership in 2018, SmartStop has contributed more than $195,000 across its operations in the U.S. and Canada. These donations have been instrumental in advancing critical research, such as clinical trials, the acquisition of advanced research equipment, and the support of dedicated research personnel. As the largest private funder of breast cancer research worldwide, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation leads groundbreaking initiatives, including research focused on metastatic breast cancer, and is the highest rated breast cancer organization in the U.S. In 2024-2025, BCRF is investing $70.3 million in annual grants to more than 260 scientists from top academic and medical institutions around the globe. Two SmartStop executives will share their industry insights at the upcoming 10th Annual Evercore ISI Storage Symposium in New York City on Tuesday, October 1, 2024. H. Michael Schwartz, SmartStop's Chairman and CEO, will participate on the Acquisitions Panel, scheduled for approximately 3:20 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time, while Joe Robinson, the Company’s Chief Operations Officer, will offer his expertise during the Operations Panel at approximately 1:20 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time for registered conference attendees.

Yesterday was a magical day for the SmartStop team as we spent the day at Disneyland to celebrate the opening of our 200th store. We kicked off the festivities with a fun scavenger hunt that took us through both parks, bonding over clues, characters, and a little friendly competition. Exploring the magic of Disneyland together was the perfect way to mark this milestone, and the memories we made will stay with us for a long time.
