    Optimal pre-game routines can set the stage for big wins. Poor routines (or lack thereof) can lead to a self-inflicted loss. With the #NFL season in full swing, it's important to look at the league's most successful teams' blueprints for success, starting with the Pre-Game. 🤔 Imagine an NFL team going into week 1 without ANY research on their opponent... It would be pretty hard to win, right? It's no different in the world of #sales. Going into a deal without knowledge of the prospect's industry, personnel, or problems is the same as any NFL team showing up on Sunday and just "hoping for the best." Here are a few ways to research your prospect, their industry, and problems in the pre-game phase (pre-deal cycle) to set up for a big WIN 👇 🏆

    Time….as mentioned in my last post, it is the one thing we need to value more as can never get it back. Lost time, or time spent on non-core tasks, will always be an impediment to ultimate success.  Let me explain…. Having met with many SMB leaders over the past months, the one consistent theme I noticed is the lack of time or consistency being spent on their core functions and delegating the non-core activities. As part of our value proposition at SMRT Solutions Group, we use this simple lead in for a conversation starter…”What would the impact be to your organization’s productivity if you employed fractional support/training in your Sales or Operations areas, letting you focus on strategic initiatives?” (Of course, the question is tailored to the specific audience, but you get the gist).     How do you prepare for an upcoming deal in the sales world? 👇 Like sports teams, there's a formula for success leading to the "game." It starts with the PREGAME routine 💪 How much "film" have you studied? 🎥 Here are a few tips that will help set you up for a big WIN: 1. Research your prospect(s) - It sounds simple, but most people DON'T take the time to do this 😧 - Look for commonalities, things they care about, connection points, etc. 2. Establish a vision for the 1st call - What does "winning" look like? - What is the best case / worst case scenario? 3. Refine the tactics required to win the trust of the prospect - Based on your research, how should you approach the prospect? - What "language" do they speak? (visionary, analytical, methodical, connective?) (more on this to come) You'd be shocked at how far ahead you'll be just by doing the little things. Most don't, and most fail. Want to win more?
