Thanks to the Association of the United States Army for honoring me this week with the General Creighton W. Abrams Medal for exceptional service to the US Army during their 70th Annual Symposium in Washington, DC. It was an honor to serve as a Senior Mentor for the Combined Joint Force Land Component Commander Course at the Army War College and as a Board Member and Chairman of the Veterans Affairs Federal Advisory Committee on the Readjustment of Veterans. It is a pleasure to continue to serve as a Member of the Board on Army Research and Development at the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine and Co-Chair of the Chief of Staff of the Army’s Retired Soldier Council. And it remains a privilege to serve as the Chairman of the Board for Our Community Salutes and as a Director for the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors, Feherty’s Troops First Foundation and the Patton Veterans Project.
