Snooze an AM Eatery seeks to evolve the A.M. dining experience through culinary innovation, an eclectic and energetic atmosphere and comfortable and friendly service. We celebrate each day and invite our guests to do the same. Snooze believes in doing the responsible thing for people and the planet. We strive to divert as much waste as we can through our composting and recycling programs, as we're working to help create a better world for future generations. We work to be good neighbors and give back to the communities that we are so lucky to be part of. At Snooze, we believe in our mantra that it only takes a moment to make a difference. We can't do any of that, though, without great people! We invite you to join us - whether in Colorado, California, Arizona or Texas - and work in an environment where your individuality is encouraged, where sustainability is more than just a buzz word, and where FUN is one of our family values. In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, we are proud to showcase our Head Chef at Snooze Montrose, Jose Tinoco. Jose honors his heritage by celebrating Mexican Independence Day, preparing traditional dishes like enchiladas or mole at home, and enjoying the music of Jose Alfredo Jimenez and Vicente Fernandez at Snooze. He emphasizes the importance of this month for the diffusion of Hispanic culture through TV and social media, helping to share and preserve his values. Jose's parents are his greatest inspiration, instilling in him a deep sense of dedication, passion, and love, which he now strives to pass on to his own family, his wife and son. For Jose, "La Familia" is a fundamental aspect of Hispanic culture, which he celebrates through music and food. After a long day, Jose enjoys winding down with boleros, ballads, and a good Mezcal or tequila. In addition to his love for music and food, Jose is deeply proud of his hometown, Patzcuaro, known as “la puerta del cielo” (The Gate of Heaven). Jose states “With out a doubt it’s the most beautiful town in Mexico with the best Day of the Dead celebrations and some of the richest gastronomy in the country. VIVA LA HERENCIA HISPANA!”
