A lot of people tend to state, "Stop commenting or talking so much and start asking questions in order to increase engagement." My hot take is that people are not "suggestive" enough in their comments to prompt further responses. It's not that comments stunt the flow of discussion - it's that you should be adding opportunities for expansion to your comments -shrug-

Current hiring processes are terrible, and no one thinks it's fixable. But this is NOT your average B*TCH Post... People WANT to help now more than ever. They run mock interviews, resume reviews, hacking tips and tricks webinars, SEO for employees courses, and other "helpful" features. But they're a dime a dozen for a reason. It's not helping the conversion rate. The conversion pair rate for employment love stories is multitudes worse than the success rate of a Tinder match (not scientific, but not wrong either). So if we'll fix it, let's view this as what it is - a wicked problem about values and stakeholders that can only be solved by bringing people together to groan through challenging issues. The BEST thing we could do as an industry is create an issues forum that explores the need, makes approaches, and then proposes resolutions in a series of LOCAL meetings about what can be done about the problem: very Town Hall, Peter Block, world cafe style. Employees and applicants need a voice, and recruiters need a way to find confidence where their companies lack it. If the Socio-Ecological model has taught us anything, implementing solutions on only one interpersonal level of society will accomplish nothing. The other levels of society pull that program back into the status quo - but if we can find and implement solutions on every level of society in a concerted community effort - we can finally find a better system.
