Reminiscing on the recently concluded @SCRS ANZ Site Solutions Summit at Melbourne. #IGNITEthePossibilities The various initiatives being worked upon to elevate ANZ region's visibility in the global clinical trial stage and how the region has progressed since Covid-19 were truly enriching and informative insights. Fascinating panel discussions and plenary presentations covered a lot of breadth of challenges which are currently being witnessed in clinical research. The summit reinforced industry leaders commitment to push boundaries and drive innovation in clinical trial ecosystem. It is really exciting to witness that Society for Clinical Research Sites (SCRS) ANZ Site Solutions Summit™ is attended not only by experts belonging to Australia & New Zealand alone, but also experts from East Asia, South Asia, and Southeast Asia regions are coming together to learn, communicate and collaborate about the latest knowledge, trends and best practices. The top 3 takeaways from ANZ Site standpoint are not very different to what we are hearing at global level or compared to earlier years, i.e. shortening prolonged negotiation & contracting discussions, embracing technology in clinical trials and improving recruitment strategy & meeting its goals. This indicates that though we have embarked in the right journey, but the journey is far from over to ensure the research ecosystem is sustainable for all to eventually help patients access treatments in an expedited way. A heartfelt thank you to all speakers, colleagues, and new connections. I eagerly anticipate continued collaboration in the years ahead! 🌐🔬🤝 Tam C. Nurse Management Coordinator - Policy and Strategic Projects, NT Health Clinical Innovation and Research
That’s a wrap for 2024 Society for Clinical Research Sites (SCRS) Australia and New Zealand Site Solutions Summit! Great 2 days of presenting, networking, learning and catching up with old and new friends and colleagues! ⭐️ Budgets and contracts - we need to do this better and faster. Sponsors/CROs listen to your sites they know their sites they know their patients. They need healthy cash flow to keep running their trials. Sites we need to budget well, track well and invoice well to work towards self sustainability ⭐️ Technology - it is here to stay. How can we leverage technology (eISF, CTMS, etc) to enhance our trials unit operations and efficiency? To reduce (not add) administrative burden. What are the problems your sites trying to solve and dont forget to think about implementation costs! ⭐️ Workforce - contracts per contracts employment for our research staffs is just not good enough. How do we appreciate them truly for the work that they do to improve care for our patients through access to cutting edge treatments? ⭐️ Diversity, equity and inclusitivity - lots of initiatives and commitments to promote DEI across the country. People don’t know enough about clinical trials until they do but they should! How do we make sure everyone knows what clinical trial is, how to access them and what is available. How can we all nurture and bring along our new sites and new PIs on the journey with us? Such an insipiring story from David Downs to remind us why we do what we do to make sure everyone have equitable access to clinical trials! If not done already, check out the Australian Teletrial Program website on how we can support you https://lnkd.in/gFrDYV4G Also had a nice breakfast with Sanofi Carly Agnew Laura Moore Mehvesh Khan, PMP on this very important topic - great to see sponsor’s initiative to support DEI ⭐️ Congratulations to Jhodie Duncan from Latrobe Regional Health for winning the Site Spark Award! Amazing work advocating for your site well done!! So much to do, so many solutions and opportunities ahead! Let’s all work together to ignite the possibilities and improve clinical trials in Australia. We owe it to our patients to do better and make sure everyone has equitable access to clinical trials regardless of their geographical, socioeconomic and cultural status 💪 #SCRS2024 #clinicaltrials NT Health

Founder at Clinials AI, enabling Life Sciences with safe, trustworthy AI driven tools to make research more accessible to a diverse population
What a collaborative Society for Clinical Research Sites (SCRS) Summit full of rich conversations enabling solutions for successful clinical trials bringing treatments to a diverse population. I enjoyed the interactive panel discussion Digital Adaption Down Under with Facilitator Tam C. Nguyen, and speakers Maree Beare William Evans and Rossa King highlighting the pain points to address, including clinical trials Negotiations, and the hot potato topics, Patient Recruitment and Diversity. Topics included fear of technology vs the need for continuous innovation. To overcome these challenges in implementing new technology, 3 change management recommendations were discussed. Including the need for Leadership in driving and supporting innovative solutions and a Change champion, and allowing a short stop with time for team members to see the positive impact of innovation. I showcased Clinials AI focusing on providing a standardised visualization of the protocol schedule of events enabling sites to be more effective in their business development in clinical trial choices. #scrs2024 #clinicaltrials #innovation #diverseclinicaltrials
