🌟 Exciting Times at the GACC South New Year’s Reception! 🌟 This past Tuesday, SPC's VP Dirk Hoppmann had the pleasure of attending the 2025 GACC South New Year’s Reception at the Bank of America offices in Greenville, South Carolina. A special congratulations to Mercedes-Benz Vans, LLC (Charleston, SC) for receiving the 2024 GACC Gateway Award! Their remarkable investment of over $500 million in the new Sprinter plant has created more than 1,700 jobs in the Charleston metropolitan area and contributed over $1.9 million to local non-profits and schools. Their dedication to driving economic growth while supporting the community is truly commendable. Notably, the U.S. has now become the second-largest market for Sprinter vans, following Germany. In her laudation, Ashely Teasdel, Deputy Secretary of the South Carolina Department of Commerce, emphasized the significance of German foreign direct investment.
