Sojourner Phil Boyden posed this question in a recent conversation on email deliverability, "Are marketers confident their marketing campaigns are reaching audiences?" 🤔 "With 70% of the B2B buyer journey complete before people reach out to us, it’s imperative our marketing campaigns reach their inbox for the remainder of the journey," continued Phil. However, last year, only one in six emails reached an inbox, he noted. And since February 2024, Google and Yahoo have been stricter around enforcing their policies, making things even harder. "Email reporting doesn’t always tell the whole story either," Phil stated. "Consider the difference between Delivery and Deliverability: 🚚 Delivery: Your email reaches the Email Service Provider (ESP), showing as delivered in your email reporting. 🚦 Deliverability: Your email passes all checks at the ESP and reaches the recipient, potentially even then still landing in the Spam folder."
