"As someone who took the IICBT course, I can wholeheartedly say it was a transformative experience. The insights and practical methods I learned have had a significant impact on my overall well-being. The course instructor Amna Asghar was not only competent but incredibly empathetic. She established a safe environment for learning and growth. Through a combination of theory, home assignments, and real-life scenarios, I learned how to identify unhelpful thought patterns, challenge them, and replace them with healthier alternatives. CBT is more than just understanding our minds; it also involves actively modifying our behaviour. I now approach difficulties from a more balanced perspective and have improved my relationships, work, and overall satisfaction. I highly recommend the IICBT course if you are considering it. It's a long-term investment in your mental health." Ayesha Kashif (Pakistan) ---- You can register your interest using the below link. A lobster’s shell doesn’t grow with it. So when it becomes too tight and restrictive, it must leave its shell, exposing its vulnerable, soft body to the dangers of the ocean. This process is painful and leaves the lobster unprotected. However, without this necessary shedding, the lobster would not be able to grow or survive. Similarly, humans face periods of discomfort and hardship that push them beyond their emotional and mental comfort zones. Just like the lobster shedding its old shell, these moments of struggle can feel painful and exposing, leaving us vulnerable. However, these challenges often become catalysts for psychological and spiritual growth, allowing us to develop resilience, new perspectives, and stronger emotional capacities If the lobster never shed its shell, it would remain confined, unable to mature. Likewise, if we avoid hardship or discomfort, we limit our potential for growth. Though the process may be uncomfortable, enduring and learning from hardships is essential, just as the lobster’s painful shedding is necessary for its survival and thriving. As Allah SWT says in the Quran “Surely WITH every difficulty there is relief. Surely WITH every difficulty there is relief.” (Al Quran - 94: 5-6) #FindingMeaningInPain #PurposeInSuffering #GrowthThroughStruggles #StrengthInAdversity #TransformYourPain #HealingThroughHardship #ResilienceInChallenges #OvercomingWithPurpose #MeaningfulSuffering #StrengthInTrials #FaithInHardTimes #WisdomFromStruggle #TurnPainIntoPurpose #SufferingWithStrength #PurposefulGrowth #IslamicPsychology #MuslimMentalHealth #TrialsAndTribulations

Prophet (Sallah Allahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said, "Tie your camel and put your trust in Allah.” (Tirmidhi) The command to use "means" does not contradict the idea of putting one’s trust in Allah. It is similar to taking means to ward off hunger, thirst, heat, and cold. Therefore, we take the means that Sunnah necessitates, but we don't put our trust in them. Seeking help for your mental health challenges is also a form of taking the means and not a sign of weak emaan. Take counseling, but put your trust in Allah. Is there any other misconception that is holding you back from seeking counseling? Let us know in the comments and we will in sha Allah address it in our upcoming posts. #BreakTheStigma #TrustInAllah #TawakkulAndEffort #DivineReliance #FaithWithAction #RelyAndAct #IslamicGuidance #BelieveAndAct #AllahsPlan #MythVersusFact #IslamicPsychology #MuslimMentalHealth
