I’m a solopreneur who's published 4 books and 3 courses, coached dozens of people, and launched a successful newsletter, podcast, YouTube channel and a community So my morning routine must be perfect, right?... Ya, not so much. What I don’t do ❌ - wake up at 4:30 am - write in my gratitude journal - hit the ice bath for 10 minutes - thoughtfully decide on my 5 goals for the day What I actually do ✅ - Roll out of bed and immediately make a cup of coffee - Scroll Linkedin looking for content ideas - Take my dog for a walk - Drink another coffee - Read my morning devotional - Engage with my community - Check my calendar and realize I have a Zoom call in 12 minutes! - Throw some clothes on and try to look presentable There are people here on LinkedIn who (appear) to have it all together…but I’m not one of them. What does your morning routine look like? Tell me about it in the comments.

Solopreneurs, stop wasting your time trying to figure out all the latest AI and marketing tactics. Finding your next client doesn’t have to be a guessing game. Just follow these 7 steps to start getting a regular stream of new clients: 1) Clearly Define Your Ideal Client - Identify WHO you want to work with. - Be specific about their demographics, interests, and most importantly their pain points. 2) Craft a Magnetic Message - Create a compelling value proposition that speaks directly to your ideal client's needs and desires (if you know their pain, this will be easy). - Try using some proven copywriting formulas like PAS, AIDA, FAB and others (if you're not sure what these are, send me a DM and I'll send you back a document that breaks these down) 3) Leverage Social Proof - Share testimonials and case studies that showcase your success in helping others. - Social proof is like gold. Double down on it! 4) Utilize Content Marketing - Publish valuable content that positions you as a credible expert (like I'm doing with this post!) - Blog posts, newsletters, videos, and webinars are great tools. 5) Network with Purpose - Engage authentically in the comments with your peers and ideal clients here on LinkedIn. - Attend industry events where your ideal clients hang out. 6) Offer a Freebie - Provide a valuable free resource, like an eBook or a mini-course, to capture leads and build trust. - I give every new subscriber to The Happy Accidents Newsletter a free download of my book The Accidental Solopreneur 7) Follow Up Diligently - Stay in touch with new connections through personalized emails, DM's, and follow-up calls. - Yes, you actually need to communicate with people! - Automated funnels are robotic! Consistency is key here. And so is a long-term mindset. Implement these steps, and watch your client list grow. _______ Ready to transform your coaching business? If you're interested, some limited spots for my community, The Solopreneur Sandbox, are opening up in September. Secure your spot by joining the waitlist (see the link in the comments)

I don’t miss corporate meetings one bit Does this not feel like 90% of the meetings you’ve been in? - total chaos - half the people don’t know why they’re there - the other half just want to talk to hear the sound of their own voice - the politics and posturing is gross - and everyone walks out fully committed to NOT performing any of the action items that may or may not have been documented Ahhh…just one of the perks of being a solopreneur ——— What’s the number one pet peeve you have about corporate meetings?

Looking to up your LinkedIn game (and write posts that truly resonate?) Here are my top 5 tips for crafting effective posts that engage and inspire: 1) Start with a Strong Hook: - Grab your reader’s attention from the first sentence. - A compelling question, a bold statement, or a surprising fact can make people stop scrolling and start reading. 2) Keep it Concise: - LinkedIn isn’t the place for novels. - Keep your posts clear and to the point. - Aim for brevity without sacrificing the core message. 3) Add Value: - Whether you’re sharing insights, tips, or experiences, make sure your content offers real value to your audience. - Ask yourself, "What will my readers gain from this?" 4) Be Authentic: - Show your personality! - Authenticity builds trust and makes your posts more relatable. - Share personal stories, successes, and even failures. 5) Engage with Your Audience: - Encourage interaction by asking questions, prompting discussions, or inviting feedback. - And don’t forget to respond to comments – it’s all about building relationships. Remember, your LinkedIn posts are a reflection of your professional brand. Write with intention, be yourself, and most importantly, have fun! (this pic is of me on a recent tour of Fenway Park...if you haven't been there to watch a ball game, you HAVE to go!) _____________ What’s your go-to tip for writing great LinkedIn posts? Drop it in the comments below!

Her persistence paid off (in a HUGE way). - You're not failing - You're learning Keep going _________ Hey there, I'm Dennis Geelen, Host of the Happy Accidents podcast and author of The Accidental Solopreneur. Nobody learns to ski by reading a book. Sure, knowledge is great. But knowledge alone isn't enough. You need to take that knowledge and apply it. But even then, that's not enough. Just applying what you learn, if done in a safe bubble, isn't really helping you unlock your full learning potential. → You have to be willing to fail. It's only in those failures that you truly learn, and get better. __________ What are you willing to fail at? Share with me, in the comments, what you're currently learning.
