➡️ Today is the last day of #HispanicHeritageMonth We would like to take this last day to celebrate Sonia Sotomayor. Coming from a Puerto Rican family, Sonia broke boundaries not only for hispanics but for female hispanics as well. Sonia is the first Latina to serve on the Supreme court of the United States. Sonia Sotomayor is a leader and a representation of anything being possible.

👉 Continuing with Mes de le Promotores, SOMOS participated in Visión y Compromiso Annual Conference. 👉 Continuing with Mes de le Promotores, SOMOS participated in Visión y Compromiso Annual Conference. During this conference SOMOS gave a presentation titled Where We Are Going: A Vision of Economic Justice by and for Promotoras. A presentation to share our vision of Economic Justice and discover how each of us can contribute to this collective fight for economic liberation. This conference was a great experience to learn from others on how to be better promotores and continue making an impact in our community. -- 👉 Continuando con Mes de le Promotores, SOMOS participó en la Conferencia Anual Visión y Compromiso. Durante esta conferencia SOMOS realizó una presentación titulada Hacia dónde vamos: una visión de justicia económica por y para promotoras. Una presentación para compartir nuestra visión de Justicia Económica y descubrir cómo cada uno de nosotros puede contribuir a esta lucha colectiva por la liberación económica. Esta conferencia fue una gran experiencia para aprender de otros sobre cómo ser mejores promotoras y continuar generando un impacto en nuestra comunidad.

Attendees learned about the possibility of them becoming first time homeowners!🏡 The city of San José requires developers to make 15% of new/modified units affordable for qualified buyers or renters. -- 🎉¡Gracias equipo organizador! La semana pasada hubo una gran asistencia en las sesiones informativas sobre nuevas oportunidades de propiedad que se llevaron a cabo en asociación con Housekeys y Robson Homes. ¡Los asistentes conocieron la posibilidad de convertirse en propietarios de vivienda por primera vez!🏡 La ciudad de San José requiere que los desarrolladores hagan que el 15% de las unidades nuevas/modificadas sean asequibles para compradores o inquilinos calificados.

We are incredibly proud of our Jovenes and deeply thankful for the leadership of our Jovenes Activos coordinator, Fabiola.
