SomosVC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization focused on unlocking opportunities for Latino/a VC investors, developing a community that leaves a lasting impact on the ecosystem. Our mission is simple: to accelerate and elevate the presence of Latinos/as in venture capital. We believe that when venture investors are empowered to show up as their authentic selves, the flow of capital from limited partners to venture capitalists and ultimately to startup founders becomes more diversified, impactful, and representative of U.S. demographics.

SomosVC Fellowship Success Story: Carol Magalhães Isaacs, CFA 🌟 About Our Fellowship Program: 1) Curriculum/ Programming: Weekly sessions serve as the foundation for demystifying the venture capital trade. Seasoned investors and industry experts will provide in-depth tutelage and training. 2) Mentorship: Each Fellow will be paired with two VCs to help reinforce lessons, learn how they broke into the industry, answer your questions, and be your champion. 3) Project Based Learning: Thesis building and hands on learning gives participants a rare first-hand look at a wide array of intellectual and operational challenges venture capitalists navigate. Carol was a part of our 2022 fellowship cohort and has since landed a full-time role at BBG Ventures. Way to go, Carol!!
