As global demand for materials increases, the pressure on our planet is unsustainable. That’s where the circular economy comes in.   The circular economy is a model focused on cutting out waste through reuse and regeneration.   By adopting circular economy principles, businesses can:  🔄  Achieve significant cost savings by reusing materials and minimising waste 💚  Reduce environmental impacts, helping to combat resource depletion and lower carbon footprints 💡 Create new economic opportunities through innovation in materials and sustainable construction methods At Sortera, we champion this model by converting construction waste into valuable resources and significantly reducing landfill use, creating a more sustainable future for the construction industry. #ConstructionWaste #WasteManagement #Sortera

We had an amazing time at the Recycling Expo last week! 🚨   Massive thank you to our Head of Sustainability, Lovisa, who came over from HQ in Sweden to take part in a powerful panel discussion on the value of construction waste💡   Lovisa, along with other industry experts, shared insights on how we can rethink construction debris—not as waste, but as a valuable resource that can be reused and recycled in innovative ways.    At Sortera, we are excited to be part of this movement, driving change to create a more sustainable future for the construction industry. #WasteManagement #ConstructionIndustry #RecyclingExpo

Landfills are a major environmental concern, contributing significantly to pollution and greenhouse gas emissions.   At Sortera, we aim to mitigate these issues by diverting as much construction waste as possible from landfills. Through efficient recycling programs and resource recovery, we can reduce the volume of waste ending up in landfills, repurpose materials, and minimise environmental damage. ♻️   #ConstructionWaste #WasteManagement #Sortera

This past Sunday, we were proud to join Lambeth Council at The Oval to celebrate #WorldCarFreeDay. One of the key initiatives we continue to support is the Exchanging Places program, run alongside the Metropolitan Police. This initiative highlights the dangers of HGV blind spots, giving cyclists a firsthand experience of what drivers see (or can’t see) to promote safer interactions between cyclists and large vehicles. 🚛🚲 With Central London and Westminster completely closed off to traffic, cyclists had the rare opportunity to enjoy the streets freely. This event welcomed 230 cyclists from Kidical Mass—a movement dedicated to helping families cycle safely on roads by creating fun, child-friendly bike rides. The event provided a unique opportunity for kids and parents to experience cycling in a safe and car-free environment.   #RoadSafety #ExchangingPlaces #WasteManagement

Over the weekend, we were proud to support the Markfield Road Festival, a fantastic local event in Tottenham celebrating creativity through art, music, and discussion.   We had the pleasure of hosting a children's watercolour craft stall in partnership with Gaunson Creative Studio, alongside our "Guess How Many Sweets in the Jar" competition which definitely brought out everyone’s competitive side. This event also marked the debut of our new special events vehicle, which will continue to support our presence at future events and community engagements.   We had such a fantastic weekend, and we are grateful for the opportunity to support the communities in which we live and work. A big thank you to everyone who stopped by! #CommunityEngagement #WasteManagement #Sortera
