The Office of the Attorney General is an historic state agency focused on upholding the rule of law and protecting the citizens of South Carolina. From its founding in 1698 to present day, the Office of the Attorney General has played an integral part in shaping the history of South Carolina. We are not just looking for someone to be a part of South Carolina’s history; we are seeking someone who will be an advocate for South Carolina’s future.   • I would like to give some background on the speakers who will be in attendance at the recruiting event. Camey Everhart Guthre is a Senior Assistant Attorney General with the South Carolina Attorney General's Office. Camey received her Bachelor of Arts in History and Religion from Presbyterian College in 1998, her MA from Wake Forest University in 2000, and her Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2005. Since joining the Attorney General's Office in 2008, Camey has been a prosecutor in multiple divisions, including the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) division since 2016.

  • I would like to give some background on the speakers who will be in attendance at the recruiting event. Savanna Goude began her legal career in 2016 at the Fourteenth Circuit Solicitor’s Office in Beaufort County, prosecuting crimes ranging from misdemeanors to felonies. In 2018, Savanna joined the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office as a prosecutor. She currently works in the State Grand Jury Division, where she was an active member in the high-profile trial of Alexander Murdaugh for the double murders of his wife and son in the Lowcountry. Savanna primarily prosecutes large-scale, complex drug trafficking conspiracy cases where most Defendants are charged with violent, serious felonies carrying 25-40 years in prison. She is a native of Hemingway, SC, and graduated from Johnsonville High School, the University of South Carolina, and the Charleston School of Law.
