Today we are celebrating #women and #leadership at Southern Gas Association and Northeast Gas Association’s Empowering Success Symposiusm. Our industry is evolving, and the insights, collaboration, and leadership shared here will benefit the professional journey but will also shape the path for others who follow. Natural gas, much like great leaders, is a force that drives progress and sustains growth. Just as natural gas powers industries with reliability, efficiency, and adaptability, great leaders fuel their organizations by providing vision, stability, and innovation. 1. Resilience: Natural gas remains a steady and dependable energy source, even in times of disruption. Great leaders, too, are resilient—they rise to challenges, adapt to changes, and guide their teams with unwavering strength. 2. Efficiency: Natural gas is known for its high efficiency in energy production, powering homes and industries with minimal waste. Similarly, great leaders manage resources effectively, streamlining efforts to achieve maximum results while fostering a culture of productivity and success. 3. Adaptability: As the energy landscape evolves, natural gas continues to innovate with cleaner technologies and expanded uses. Great leaders also adapt, continuously learning and growing, leading with agility to meet the ever-changing demands of their environments. 4. Sustainability: Natural gas contributes to a sustainable energy future, providing cleaner solutions for long-term success. Likewise, great leaders build sustainable legacies by mentoring others, empowering teams, and fostering a vision for future generations. In both cases, the foundation is the same: an unwavering commitment to powering progress, leading with integrity, and shaping the future for lasting impact.

Curious about what it’s like to be part of an SGA committee? 🤔 Wondering how it can benefit your career? Committee leader John Wilson of ENTRUST Solutions Group has the answers: ❓ What has been a highlight of your committee experience this year? 🔹 "I have been on SGA Committees and Taskforces for several years. These included Engineering, Design & Construction, Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) and Associate Member Committees. The past few years have been challenging due to the impact of Covid. COVID forced all conferences to be canceled, followed by virtual attendance. The SGA committee has started to really gain momentum this past year. Both Operating Members and Associate Members have started to work closely together to identify issues/concerns that Operators are dealing with, and Associate Members are providing possible solutions to these issues." ❓ What word or phrase describes your experience on an SGA committee? 🔹 "Collaboration or Teamwork As mentioned above, the committees that I serve on are working closely together to provide value-added solutions to our Operating members. These solutions have been presented at SGA conferences and webinars and published on the SGA Connect pages." ❓ Is there any advice you would give to individuals interested in getting involved with an SGA committee? 🔹 Get involved. There are many reasons to become a member of an SGA Taskforce or Committee. I have seen many people join a committee to learn about the topic. For example, many people who start on the Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) Taskforce do not fully understand all the aspects (or sometimes even the basics) of RNG. After a few meetings, they become more involved with the conversation and start to bring up issues that their company or other companies in the industry are experiencing. The Committee discusses the issues and determines who the best person (company) is to resolve those issues. Committees also allow you to collaborate with other colleagues from across the country who are working on the same things that you do during your job. These people will also help you to do your job better by showing you what others have done in similar situations. Joining a committee also exposes you to so many different areas of the industry. This exposure could lead you to a career path that you find very interesting. There is no better way to establish a networking opportunity than joining an association and a committee. ⭐ Whether you’re ready to expand your skills or contribute to meaningful discussions, now is the time to get involved. Join our informational webinar next Thursday or click now to apply by 11/22 for the 2025 committee year. 👉 https://ow.ly/8Crb50TNZV1
