Welcome to 808 Market Street in Camden - and the new offices of The Cooperative and Family Health Initiatives! We recently invited local dignitaries and guests from partner agencies, including the New Jersey Department of Health and Camden County Department of Health and Human Services, to join our staff and board members for an office dedication and open house. We're so proud of this new space, and you'll notice that some of the workspaces are named in honor of individuals from our organization's past and present whose legacies to maternal-child health helped shape the work we do today. Other office spaces are named in tribute to individuals in history who inspire us in the important work we do every day. We hope their stories motivate, inspire and remind our staff and our clients every day of our mission as we work to improve health outcomes for birthing individuals, babies, families and communities across South Jersey and beyond. With your support and partnership, The Cooperative remains committed to being a steady presence in Camden and across South Jersey, where will continue to offer compassionate care, resources and hope! Special thanks to Camden Mayor Vic Carstarphen, City Councilman Chris Collins, Fifth Legislative District Assemblyman William Spearman, Congressman Donald Norcross and the Camden County Government Commissioners for presenting us with proclamations on this special occasion. #TheCooperative #SouthJersey #HealthyPregnancies #HealthyBabies #HealthyFamilies #HealthyCommunities

We wish to congratulate the team at Trailpack Media for garnering a 2024 Mid-Atlantic Regional Emmy Award for its public service announcements on the subject. Hello friends of The Cooperative – Project MyRide is in trouble – and we need your help! A critical funding component to this highly successful program ended October 1. As a result, our weekly costs have skyrocketed - from $3,000 a week to $3,000 a day. For those of you who don’t know, Project MyRide provides no-cost transportation to pregnant and postpartum people, as well as caregivers of young children throughout South Jersey, helping them access health and social supports that promote positive birth outcomes and optimal family well-being. This program has enjoyed unprecedented success, providing a staggering 30,000+ rides over the last 18-months. The graphic in this post shows the impact of this service. With the loss of a discount that helped us provide this critical service to our community, far fewer rides will be available. We humbly ask for your financial support to keep Project MyRide on a road to success - delivering our clients to the important appointments and services that help us achieve our goal of healthy pregnancies, healthy babies, healthy families and healthy communities for all of South Jersey. 🌐Kindly consider a donation via secure link on our website ➡️ https://lnkd.in/eSMBSiUG Thank you in advance for your generosity! #TheCooperative #SouthJersey #ProjectMyRide #HealthyPregnancies #HealthyBabies #HealthyFamilies #HealthyCommunities

The Cooperative is committed to the professional growth and development of South Jersey healthcare professionals, as we work to bring down the maternal mortality rate. That's why our Clinical & Professional Education team was proud to team up with AWHONN - The Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses for the 'Obstetric Patient Safety: OB Emergencies Workshop - 3rd Edition' at The Cooperative's Camden office. The' Obstetric Patient Safety: Obstetric Emergencies Workshop 3rd Edition' is designed to help clinicians identify, assess and manage the care for patients with an obstetric emergency through simulation and debriefing. Here's some reaction from those in attendance: "The instructors were amazing. It is a full day, but does not feel overwhelming. Love the interactiveness of the class and it was a great day overall. Best class I’ve been to so far pertaining to this field." We thank those who attended for their commitment and dedication to our shared goal of reducing maternal mortality. #TheCooperative #SouthJersey #ClinicalEducation #ProfessionalEducation #MaternalMortality #MaternalMorbidity #Obstetric #PatientSafety Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN)

Here at The Cooperative, we're committed to supporting healthcare environments where we can confront and address institutional racism and implicit bias. 🎥That's why our Clinical & Professional Education team was proud to host a screening of the documentary, 'Everybody's Work: Healing What Hurts Us All.' This documentary is the second film of SHIFT, a community for nurses to listen, read, laugh, cry, think and talk about big issues — together. Their hope is that it encourages, motivates, and inspires this generation of nurses to be advocates for health equity — and see their potential as leaders in the community. We were grateful to welcome nurses and healthcare professionals from across New Jersey to this screening and an engaging post-documentary conversation. Thank you to our partners at Rowan College at Burlington County for welcoming us to your space for this important screening and conversation. 🌐If you're interested in learning more about this documentary or hosting your own screening, check out this website ➡️ https://bit.ly/3Nmj8GN #TheCooperative #SouthJersey #Documentary #ImplicitBias #InstitutionalRacism #Nurses #Nursing SHIFT Nursing

🎀October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In 2024, more than 360,000 people will be diagnosed with breast cancer. But there is hope. Advancements in early detection methods and support continue to increase the chances of survival. When caught in its earliest, localized stages, the 5-year relative survival rate of breast cancer is 99%. 🌐For resources and support, click on this link ➡️ nationalbreastcancer.org. #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth #breastcancer #cancer #awareness #pink #PinkOctober #pinkribbon #women #getscreened #learnmore #mammogram
