What a fantastic day at SouthernCon's Professional Development event, led by our amazing new Senior Director of Programming Rivkie Kahn From engaging icebreakers to insightful workshops, it was a day filled with learning, unity, and collaboration. Here's a glimpse of the highlights: We kicked off with a delicious breakfast featuring pastries from Moran Bakery – if you know, you know! Rivkie set the tone by emphasizing the importance of collaboration, communication, and growth, sparking thought-provoking discussions. Team Jason emerged victorious in the Southern Jeopardy icebreaker led by Rahel and Liora – congratulations! Avi Warman the Director of Southern TJJ Experience shared powerful techniques for building unbreakable bonds and forging new relationships, diving deep into the three stages of relationships and the art of having meaningful conversations. After a snack break, Rachel Breacher the Director of Greater Miami delved into the art of teen recruitment, offering valuable insights on understanding teens better and presenting oneself appropriately. Devora Simon, the JSU National Director, enlightened us on JSU Transitions, providing strategies for engaging teens in events and programs beyond the club. We wrapped up the day with a delicious lunch, followed by festivities at Top Golf and Street Hibachi, where Rabbi Mark Rose Southern NCSY's Regional Director delivered a closing message. After a successful Yarchei Kallah this past Monday, our dedicated staff gathered for a day of professional development. The session commenced with Rabbi Rose sharing invaluable insights on the three essential steps for achieving success within our organization. ⭐ ⚡ The agenda included an open-ended conversation about what constitutes effective Kuriv, promoting a culture of clear communication and collaboration within our team. Following a delicious lunch, we transitioned to group settings for an interactive brainstorming session aimed at enhancing our programs for teenagers.
