Jewish voters, now more than ever, need to make their voices heard. This year, hundreds of Teach Coalition volunteers led powerful, non-partisan voter turnout efforts. Now, we’re expanding those efforts nationwide! In response to your hard work and demand, we’re opening new voting centers ahead of the 2024 General Election. These centers will offer support with voter registration, absentee ballots, and community engagement. We’re launching new voter centers across four states: • “Los Angeles Unites” (CA) + 3 mobile centers • “Teach FL Unites” (Boca Raton & Hollywood, FL) + 1 mobile center • “PA Unites” (Merion Station, PA) • “Long Island Unites” (Cedarhurst, NY) Want to get involved? Volunteer by emailing information@teachcoalition.org and visit your new local voting center soon! For those who do not live near a voting center, head to our voting page, where you will find all the resources needed to be voter-ready this upcoming election: https://lnkd.in/d4xtXF_j #Vote2024 #YourVoteYourVoice #LongIslandUnites #LosAngelesUnites #PAUnites #TeachFLUnites #2024GeneralElection #VoterOutreach #JewishVoters

The widespread and now universal availability of Florida’s school choice scholarships has fueled incredible growth in Jewish education. 📚 Florida's Jewish schools have grown by 58%, and non-Orthodox schools are seeing a 21% enrollment increase. This shows that when school choice is available to all, Jewish education is more accessible. And families are jumping at this opportunity. #Research #JewishEducation #JewishSchoolEnrollment #FloridaSchoolChoice #NonpublicSchoolGrowth #EnrollmentGrowth NextSteps

Together with NextSteps, Teach Coalition's Office of Jewish Education Policy and Research has released an in-depth report on enrollment trends in Florida's Jewish schools from 2007-08 to 2022-23. Florida’s Jewish schools are growing at a rapid, historic, and accelerating pace. Key factors include the widespread availability of Florida’s school choice scholarships and a significant influx of Jewish families from New York following the pandemic. Florida is now a major center of Jewish education in the U.S., with 13,379 K-12 students enrolled in 2022-23, making it the fourth-largest Jewish school population in the nation. We love seeing schools like Yavneh Academy as excited about STEM as we are! Thanks to Teach NJ’s advocacy for the NJ STEM program, public school educators are now able to bring top-notch STEM lessons directly to our students at nonpublic schools. This initiative significantly enriches educational opportunities for our yeshivas and Jewish day schools, all at no extra cost to schools or families. If you’re a Yavneh parent, check out this article in the September Panainu edition. Discover more about this incredible program at: teachcoalition.org/stemnj #STEMEducation #NJSTEM

Maury Litwack: Transforming the Jewish Vote, One Community at a Time! Maury Litwack, founder and CEO of the OU's Teach Coalition, has redefined Jewish voter engagement. In an interview with author Jacob Kornbluh featured on the cover of City & State, Maury explained how his strategic efforts led to a record turnout in Westchester, in the critical Bowman v. Latimer election. “Antisemitism is an existential threat, and the community views their ability to vote as a priority,” he emphasized. “We’re not just turning out voters; we’re empowering a community to protect itself,” he added. Maury's vision and passion is reshaping Jewish advocacy efforts nationwide, and American politics, at large. His voter engagement strategies are expanding across communities, showing that every vote can be a powerful tool against hate. But his work goes beyond elections. Teach Coalition advocates for increased security funding and educational resources for non-public schools, which greatly benefits our Jewish communities.
