  • Today, SPP staff gathered for the first all-staff meeting of 2025. SPP Officers and leaders celebrated the successes of 2024 and shared key goals and objectives for SPP in 2025. The entire SPP team plays an integral part in helping achieve the vision of leading the industry into a brighter future. Through passionate collaboration and teamwork we have made monumental success in the last few years and we look forward to another year of achievement with our outstanding team!

  • After over 30 years in the utility industry and more than two decades of impactful service at SPP, Sam Ellis, Vice President of IT, has announced his retirement. Sam joined SPP in 2003, and his contributions have left an enduring legacy. His leadership extended beyond projects, and his technical expertise and dedication has helped shape SPP's success. As Sam transitions into retirement, he looks forward to exploring new opportunities while staying connected to the industry he’s made a large impact on. Congratulations, Sam!   • SPP is thrilled to welcome Kevin Bryant who will join the organization as its first Executive Vice President of Stakeholder Affairs and Chief Strategy Officer, effective April 1. In this new role, Bryant will lead the development and execution of SPP’s corporate strategy; lead the administration of SPP’s independent and inclusive stakeholder process; and direct the management of the organization’s relationships and communications with internal and external stakeholders. “Kevin is a dynamic, engaging leader with a passion for organizational strategy, and he’s bringing exactly the kind of excitement, expertise and experience SPP needs to navigate the challenges of a rapidly changing energy landscape,” said Lanny Nickell, incoming President and CEO.
