This week, SPP Board of Directors, Members Committee, and Regional State Committee (RSC) convened at SPP's headquarters in Little Rock, Arkansas. The RSC elected its slate of officers for 2025, while SPP stakeholders voted to extend terms for board members and elected additional Members Committee representatives. Pat O'Connell of the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission will serve as the RSC president, with Chuck Hutchison from the Nebraska Power Review Board as vice president, and Kim David from the Oklahoma Corporation Commission as secretary/treasurer. SPP is seeking industry experts to form a pool for an independent panel that will evaluate competitive transmission project proposals in 2025. In alignment with FERC Order 1000, this annual initiative seeks professionals with expertise in areas such as engineering design, project management, operations, rate design, and finance.
