🥇 We've had 72 launches from Cape Canaveral in 2024 so far, and are now officially tied with last year's record. Our president and CEO Rob Long spoke with Florida Today about this milestone and what's next. "It's a lot of work that has happened over the past couple of years that has led to the ability to launch over 70 times. I think we're going to continue to see that just accelerate, especially when you look at the forecast for a $1 trillion industry in the next decade. I think a lot of that is going to come right through Florida." https://lnkd.in/gtJsmvXt

Today’s successful launch of NASA’s Europa Clipper mission, just four days after Hurricane Milton made landfall, is a testament to the strength and leadership of Florida’s aerospace industry. This mission represents a major step forward in scientific research, as it embarks on a journey to study Jupiter’s icy moon, Europa. Florida’s spaceports continue to be the launchpad for groundbreaking missions like this, driving exploration, testing, technology and innovation on a global scale.

In the wake of Hurricane Milton, Florida's aerospace industry has once again proven its remarkable resilience. Despite the storm’s impact, Cape Canaveral has demonstrated the strength and preparedness of our state’s infrastructure. Kudos to the teams at United States Space Force and NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration who are now ready to launch just 4 days after the storm made landfall.

Thank you to Rob Long, President and CEO of Space Florida, for this morning's informative presentation at the Melbourne Regional Chamber's Good Morning Space Coast on how the organization is uniquely positioned to drive Florida's space economy and how all of us on the Space Coast can help facilitate that growth, particularly in Brevard County. BRPH was proud to be the Champion Sponsor for the breakfast and to share a glimpse into our diverse capabilities with area business leaders. #spacecoast #aerospaceindustry #floridaspaceports Mark Boyd, Michelle Salyer, Gregory Kern, Anne Conroy-Baiter, Steve Lloyd

Check out our president and CEO Rob Long in a recent Florida Today article about STARCOM coming to Brevard County. "When you look out in the future, you can really see this area on the Space Coast become kind of an epicenter for thought leadership on all things related to — not just the military side of space — but that's going to extend to other aspects of the space industry as well," Long said. https://lnkd.in/ejhyf4wb
