I converted my keynote presentation at the SPE FlexPackCon Conference (organized by the SPE Flexible Packaging Division) last fall in Montreal into a journal article, which for a limited time is available for free by the publisher. Check it out with the link below. I talk about how new sustainability challenges are driving tremendous change in flexible packaging. Challenges bring opportunities, making this an exciting time to be part of the flexible packaging industry. I trace the nearly 100 year history of technical innovation in flexible packaging and show that this innovation mindset bodes well for the future of our industry.
