Courtrooms, theaters, stadiums, and hospitals. What do all these spaces have in common? They all need optimal audio visual and acoustical design. If a space has too much noise bouncing off hard surfaces or doesn't deliver ample noise separation between rooms, it could spell disaster in how that space is used and enjoyed. And if your audio visual isn't meeting your needs when it is a vital component, frustration will be part and parcel of each day. It is always better to correct issues in the design phase but we've helped on many projects, even after construction. Reach out if you need a specialist's touch.

Have you been looking for more places to recharge your vehicle? Rocky Mountain Power unveiled their hyper-fast public electric vehicle charging station in Millcreek yesterday. Millcreek is just one of four stations throughout Utah, to encourage personal electric vehicle adoption. All four locations, including Vernal, Moab and Kimball Junction will be open by the end of June. Learn more https://ow.ly/j80K50Snvla Mass-transportation in Utah is also seeing a positive adoption of electric vehicles. The Utah Transit Authority first rolled out electric charging stations for their fleet of electric buses in 2021. Spectrum Engineers designed these industrial charges so the fleet could recharge easily in-between routes. UTA has high-powered overhead chargers located at key transit centers and bus garages, as well as electric vehicle depot charges for their UTA e-fleet. This has been such a great project to be part of. As engineers we dream of being able to contribute to meaningful and innovative solutions like this. EC&M has published their National Top 40 Electrical Design Firm Rankings and Spectrum is ranked No. 35. Along with rankings, EC&M published data results for those tracking markets trends. The market outlook looks good, with one in three firms expecting a revenue boost of 10% or more this year. Although the percentage of firms saying the climate outlook is strong had dropped since 2023, more than three-quarters of firms were still positive. It's not a surprise that Health Care and Education were the strongest performing sectors.
