Can we build more homes with fewer hands? Today’s feature is Cuby – led by Aleh Kandrashou, PhD and Aleksandr Gampel. They design, develop, and deploy Mobile Micro-Factories (MMF)™ that manufacture and assemble homes for the masses. In short, Cuby is revolutionizing homebuilding just like Henry Ford revolutionized automobile production, via better processes and delivery mechanisms. Ultimately, Cuby is driving down the costs and time required to build homes, addressing one of the most important issues of our time – housing abundance.

We think we have one of the most interesting co-founder stories, here it is: The story begins in Barcelona, in December 2023. Neev Efrat was traveling to film documentaries on wave reactors, while Rahul Dhiman was crossing off an item from his bucket list—taking a solo trip across Spain, staying in hostels, and meeting amazing people from all around the world (and I guess Neev). Destiny had it that Neev and Rahul were staying in the same hostel in Barcelona and quickly connected on various levels of conversation. At the time, Neev was ideating the conception of Spiral, a company that would help deep-tech founders showcase their technologies with content, with the vision of empowering technical founders to build their online brand and raise capital quicker. A pretty unique and niche idea, right? Wrong. Rahul told Neev about his background as an engineer and filmmaker and that, once he returned to Chicago from his Spain trip, he was going to officially start CineTech Productions. Which… was pretty much the same idea. As you might guess, Neev and Rahul spent the next few days in Spain fully ideating the business together and joining forces. Wrong again. With both Neev and Rahul’s Spain trips coming to an end, coupled with the fact that they had literally just met less than 24 hours ago, they eventually went their separate ways. Neev started Spiral Stories and Rahul started CineTech Productions. Neev and Rahul kept in touch on social media, and fast forward a few months, a few conversations, and a few clients later, they addressed the elephant in the room. Why not join forces on this weirdly niche vision? As Neev cheesily said to Rahul, making him cringe: “You can go fast alone, but further together.” Pictured: Barcelona 2023 to SF Deep Tech Week 2024

CEO at Spiral | Helping deep-tech startups create incredible videos

That's a wrap on SF Deep Tech Week. 6500+ attendees and 40+ events. The time is now to usher in this SC-FI future! Our best tool to combat human suffering is innovation and this last week we had the brightest minds together to discuss deep-tech innovation and how we can build a better world. All credit for hosting goes to Andrew Cote and his team. We're honored to be brought on to develop the creative for this week. It was something out of a SC-FI book and the events gave so much more momentum to this eco-system. I wouldn't want to be working in any other ecosystem. Deep Tech is what matters the most and in this time in history, we need to be focused on what matters to ensure a safe and free future. Thank you all for attending and let's keep building together. There is so much recap content coming in the two weeks ahead – stay tuned. cc MistyWest 8090 Industries Quantonation 8VC Lowercarbon Capital Rayyan Islam Fifty Years William Zeng Rahul Dhiman

What’s your story? Storytelling is all about engaging your audience in a way that’s intriguing, believable, memorable, and impactful. As humans, from early childhood, we subconsciously and often without realizing it, tweak our stories to get the outcome we want. Think about when you had a sore throat as a kid but still wanted that cold ice cream, or as a teenager when you broke up with your “ex” and wanted your mutual friends on your side. And as an adult, when you’re late for a meeting with your manager and need some empathy. The facts don’t change—there’s only one truth—but how we narrate those facts shapes the outcome we desire. The audience changes the perspective of the story and what part of the fact we focus on. Every story has two sides: the one you tell and the one your audience hears. The same rules apply when you’re telling the story of your product. You’re doing it to evoke a certain emotion, and your job as a storyteller is to figure out what that emotion is and what actions might follow. Today, I attended the “Deep Tech Storytelling” workshop presented by Neev Efrat and Spiral during San Francisco #DeepTechWeek. Neev said something that resonated with me: “Can your audience memorize what you’re doing, simplify it, and talk about it at networking events?” And how do we memorize a story? When there’s a storyline, relevance, simplicity, peaks and valleys, and impact. Next time you’re telling the story of your product, think about how to make it simpler and more memorable. And that little cat behind the window! 🐈 Spiral Stories
