📣2024 Cast Iron Media Summer Fellowship Recap 📣 🌟 Our fellow, Benjamin Pearce, has immersed himself in the exciting world of sports business within Cast Iron Media. Throughout his fellowship experience, Ben was able to rotate in various departments within Cast Iron Media and explore 7 local organizations! 🔎 Thank you to those who opened their doors for Benjamin to learn more about your pathway and your organization: Adebola Adeleye, Brooklyn Nets (Former Cast Iron Media 2023 Fellow) Vanessa Taveras, IMG Academy Elizabeth Sanchez, Wasserman Mike Taylor, National Basketball Association (NBA) Nick skipper, NASCAR Brent Simmons City Football Group Brooke Steinberg Excel Sports Management 🗨 What has been the most satisfying part of your experience? 💬 "The most satisfying part of this internship has been connecting and getting to know the people here at cast iron while collaborating and helping them out on assignments. Every time that I worked with someone, we had some sort of conversation before or during where we got to know each other. Even though this is a smaller thing, everyone showed that they truly cared to make sure I felt welcomed and people were always open to giving advice & answering questions. I also really enjoyed working with Hannah on assignments and getting to be creative as we approached each assignment. The last thing I would say is that it was awesome to eat lunch with a few other people in my last week and I feel like I was able to build stronger connections there." 🗨 What was your favorite project/assignments? 💬 "Some of my favorite assignments were helping marketing with their one-sheets and coming up with creative blurbs to capture the attention of brands and encourage them to advertise through Cast Iron. My final assignment was conducting research and helping put together a deck on how we could use Gemini AI. Overall, I look forward to seeing the results!" 💜 Thank you to the Cast Iron Media team for your continued support! Trent Staley Dianna Delaney Ashley Shea Evan Keefe Phil Ottaviano Tim Stich Todd Rosenbluth Caroline Heyman Kaitlyn Bruce 💫 Best wishes to Benjamin as he returns to Emory University - Goizueta Business School + excited to see all you accomplish next!

🔔 2024 CLT FELLOWSHIP UDPATE 🔔 As part of the Fellowship Program, the entire cohort participates in weekly site visits with each partner organization where they learn directly from the industry professionals on their career path and gain advice on how to navigate a career path and gain on how to navigate a career in sports. 📍 Our final site visit of the summer was with Charlotte Sports Foundation 💜Thank you to the Charlotte Sports Foundation team for virtually hosting our fellows + supporting our mission. Kaleah Rodgers, Miller Yoho, Will Pitts, Will Lawson, Hannah Butler, Angela Davis, Owen Godfrey, Sydney Jordan, Kennedy Mack, Connor Kochera, Jimmy Webber Jr., Will DeLorenzo, Danny Morrison Jayden Law is the Charlotte Sports Foundation Fellow this summer, working in Community Event Planning! 💡 Hear from our Fellow, Aly McNair on how this experience impacted her: Aly: "I heard a wonderful price of advice today, and it was “You’re running your own marathon, not somebody else’s” and that speaks volumes for so many reason. Nowadays, it is almost effortless to get caught up in comparison with others, but it’s important to know that your path is YOUR path for a reason. This industry is non-linear in every individual’s path, and this just show you how much so! Stay true to to you and your plan, and do not worry what others are doing in front of you or beside you. Where you are right now is exactly where you need to be." ✨ Stay tuned for more updates and highlights of our partner organizations!
