Neurodiverse ≠ wrong or bad Neurodiverse = different But for #neurodivergent kids and teens navigating conditions like #ADHD or #autism, being “different” can be tough. In some cases it can increase the risk of other mental health challenges—in fact, nearly 3 in 10 children diagnosed with ADHD also have an #anxiety disorder. So, how can we make sure neurodivergent children get the support they need to thrive? 💚 Parents raising neurodivergent kids can help them build confidence and reframe their conditions as positive. Their unique way of seeing, expressing, and interacting with the world is something to be celebrated, not suppressed or punished. 💚 Employers can give #workingparents the flexibility and benefits they need to be there for their kids. Moreover, they can play an important role in breaking stigma and normalizing neurodivergence. 💚 A neurodivergence-informed #therapist can help kids focus on their strengths, navigate challenges, and build emotional resilience. The bottom line: Support from all angles can make a huge difference in kids’ lives. Back-to-school season can be stressful for both children and their parents, who may be juggling professional and family responsibilities. #Employers can help make the transition from summer break to the fall semester smoother and more manageable for #workingparents. 1. Allow flexible work hours: Offer flexible scheduling options to help working parents balance their job responsibilities with the demands of the back-to-school season, reducing stress and improving overall well-being.
⏰ 2. Encourage open dialogue: Create an environment where working parents feel comfortable discussing their challenges and needs, ensuring they feel heard and supported during this transitional period. 🗣️ 3. Facilitate employee resource groups for parents: Establish or promote employee resource groups where parents can connect, share experiences, and access resources that support both their professional and personal lives. 🤝 4. Foster a supportive culture for families: Cultivate a workplace culture that recognizes and values the challenges faced by working parents, offering understanding and accommodations when needed.

When it comes to open enrollment, #inclusivity is often overlooked. Your employees have different needs and preferences based on their unique backgrounds. A one-size-fits-all approach to #benefits enrollment can lead to misunderstanding and disengagement. ❌ By tailoring communication to reflect and respect your team’s diversity, you can ensure everyone is equally informed and make the best choices for their life and circumstances—ultimately increasing employee satisfaction and engagement. ✅ Check out our blog for tips on how to improve the open enrollment process and ultimately lead to a happier, more engaged workforce: https://lnkd.in/g4SbiTaP

Are you checking the well-being box? Or investing in a true culture of care? “Carewashing” is when an organization says it invests in #employee well-being, but the employees say otherwise. It can lead to an erosion of trust in your organization’s leaders, according to Harvard Business Review. Leaders can fall into carewashing when: 🚫 They lack the skills or awareness to actually build a culture of care 🚫 They promote a certain culture when hiring, but lack follow-through 🚫 They’re motivated by self-interest and shielding their own reputation, instead of listening to feedback 👉 Remember, two-way communication is key, too. Employees should have routes to provide regular, honest feedback, so leadership understands what they’re doing right and where they can improve. We’re on a mission to support teams in avoiding carewashing and becoming true #mentalhealth and #culture champions. Our Manager Experience provides on-demand tools, resources, and training to help leaders, and in turn, their teams, thrive. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/g2Z22yC3
