About us
The St. Louis Area Foodbank is the bi-state region’s largest non-profit 501(c)(3) food distribution center dedicated to feeding those in need. Through our network of more than 500 partner agencies, we distributed over 42 million pounds of food in 2016. Thanks to the generous support from our donors and volunteers, we provide food assistance to more than 57,000 individuals each week in 26 counties in Eastern Missouri and Southwestern Illinois. The St. Louis Area Foodbank is a proud member of both the United Way and Feeding America – a nationwide network of over 200 food banks.

Today, the St. Louis Area Foodbank mourns the loss of a dear member of our family. Doug Lodge served the Foodbank and our community for 11 years. During his time, Doug made a tremendous impact on our hearts and our mission. He is loved by all who knew him here, especially his coworkers and the many volunteers with whom he worked each day. Our prayers and thoughts are with his family. We will miss Doug’s warmth and smile every day.
