At 1,005 feet, the US Bank Tower is home to the tallest stairwell west of the Mississippi. During the Stair Climb for Los Angeles, 4,000 participants race or walk up 1,664 steps (75 stories) then take the elevator down to the street level where a Block Party awaits - complete with games, live bands, food trucks, and a beer garden. The best part is that every dollar raised strengthens impactful YMCA community programs in and around Downtown Los Angeles. Fundraising supports subsidized YMCA program participation for children, teens, families, and seniors in some of the most under-resourced neighborhoods in the city.

Our first day of Teen Career Camp did not disappoint. Thank you to Webcor for giving our teens a tour of your office, hosting a panel which included our very own teen alum Ismael Morales, EIT and chatting all things education and careers. We are so grateful! Can’t wait for what else is in store later this week. Aren’t they just adorable!?!

An absolutely amazing time was had at our Rock n Roll Soirée last night at the legendary Whiskey A Go Go. Law Rocks hosted a night to remember and the Nuisance, Chuck Jarrell and Brian Glennon helped to raised over $60,000 for the Ketchum-Downtown YMCA! We could not be more grateful for all you do for us.
One of my favorite times of the year is when Santa visits our Preschool and hands out all the beautiful gifts we received through our annual Toy Drive. Thank you to our community partners for all you do for the Ketchum-Downtown YMCA and our amazing families. Oh, and a special thanks to Heidi Novaes and Santa for putting smiles on so many kids faces.
Does your New Year's resolutions have you cleaning out your closet? If so, we'll take those off your hands! Our teens are in need of pre-loved suits, slacks, skirts, dress shirts, and more for their upcoming Youth & Government conference in Sacramento. See the flyer below for more info and how you can donate!
