Architexture Design Consultancy is a proud supporting partner of the Car Design News Design Dialogues Event happening tonight, Oct 29 in Dearborn, MI. At the event, you're invited to explore our "Wonderwall" of custom textures that illustrate how any spark of creativity can become a reality. The final results of our Design, Verify and Produce process will be parked right outside, showcasing our texturing work on the new 7th generation Ford Mustang. This vehicle demonstrates our texturing and laser engraving technology throughout, in particular, on the front door speaker grill which presented a challenge. The solution made it the first of its kind. Ford’s front door upper speaker mold was laser engraved with a carbon fiber texture onto a steel surface consisting of both benched and EDM in a seamless fashion. The preciseness of laser engraving can control the grain locations around featured surfaces and shut-offs. The impressive result beautifully camouflages the speaker holes within the texture itself, no framing or separate grill piece required. Challenge solved. What’s your challenge? Congratulations to our partners at FIAT on the launch of the 2024 Grande Panda. We’re proud to have provided the majority of the textures for this new family of compact vehicles inspired by the 1980’s Panda. Among the dozens of molds that were textured, there are some delightful surprises for the new owners to discover. On the instrument panel, there is a small laser engraved Panda from the 1980’s driving up the side of the display screen. And users will discover a friendly “Ciao!” on the lift gate, also laser engraved. Our sales team at Standex Engraving Mold-Tech India has been working on their plans to drive sales growth, recently meeting with the Director and GM to discuss the market and our expanding footprint within the region. Construction continues on what will be the largest texturing facility in India, located in the Pune region with 45,000 square feet. Wide-spread fires have been raging in Portugal since the weekend and firefighters from Italy, France, Spain and Morocco have joined local teams to help with the battle.
