Sizzling Appreciation: The Production Team at Mold-Tech Michigan in Fraser, recently enjoyed a BBQ Lunch served by the Administration Staff and the Team Leaders who were on grill duty. The team provided a delicious spread of bratwursts, burgers, chicken skewers and all the fixings. For dessert, Plant Manager Chris Spellman designed a Detroit-themed cake to celebrate the merging of the Tenibac Clinton Township location within the newly renovated Mold-Tech Michigan facility. Congratulations to Tang Genrong, Liu Faming and Tracy Jin, members of the Building Renovation team at Mold-Tech Suzhou for winning a Q4 FY24 Team Spot Award for their outstanding demonstration of accountability and teamwork. To meet the demands of the fast-growing business in Mold-Tech China, Mold-Tech Suzhou rented a second building in July of 2023. In addition to their already busy positions, a team of three staff spent a tremendous amount of time and effort on the renovation of the new building and EHS compliance. The team has demonstrated a great ability to work together, collaborating constantly and aligning with the activities carried out by each person. This allowed the company to have the new building ready in less than 4 months, coming in under budget for expenses such as moving the machines and preparing the production. Congratulations to the Automotive OEM Project Team at Mold-Tech Portugal for winning a Q3 FY24 Spot award in recognition of completing a high-profile, complex project in half the time that was expected. The project for a major Automotive OEM was very complex, it consisted of coating plastic parts with leather for a truck project that was managed by Turkey. The leather was supplied from the UK and was handed over to Mold-Tech Portugal for assembly, with very tight deadlines. For this project, a team was pulled together with several members from other teams, some of them never having worked together before. Through exceptional availability, rigor and commitment they managed to complete the OEM project in record time in one month instead of two. An exceptional effort that brought a great result for the company. It took just one year for Innovent to turn around from operating at a loss to getting the business to breakeven. Then in January 2023, manufacturing small honeycomb parts started to show profitability. To further increase margins, the team designed and implemented a process to automate the production of these parts. Specifically, with great effort and teamwork, they developed and designed a completely new machine that would enable this production. The result of this project allowed Innovent to operate with lower costs, while increasing output and improving the quality of the products made. In addition, this new technology may also create new business opportunities.
