We had the honor of hosting Ehsan Sedaghat-Nejad from Neuralink as the first guest for our Brain n' Brunch series! Ehsan is currently a ML researcher on the BCI team, known for his contribution to decoding neural activity for text entry and mouse control, which greatly helped push Neuralink to market. Before joining Neuralink, Ehsan was a Primary Co-Investigator at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, exploring the neural correlates of motor learning. The brunch was an inspiring experience, filled with insights into cutting-edge BCI technology, Neuralink’s innovative culture, and diverse career paths into neurotech. Thank you, Eshan, for sharing your expertise, and thank you Evelyn Song for organizing! We will be hosting more Sunday brunch events in the future – stay tuned for future updates. Also, if you are interested in joining our brunch series as a guest, or have any potential ideas for collaboration, we would love to hear it and please do not hesitate to reach out! #neurotech #neuroengineering #bci #braincomputerinterfaces #ml

Apply to Collaborate with Blackrock Neurotech and Zeit Medical 🧠⚡️ Calling all electrical engineers, software developers, and neuroscientists! We are extremely proud to announce our first industry partners, Blackrock Neurotech and Zeit Medical. Together, we aim to tackle problems such as: 1. (Blackrock) Integrate external peripherals into neural data acquisition systems. 2. (Blackrock) Leverage Blackrock API utilities to build high-impact software for neurotech research. 3. (Zeit) Analyzing sleep states from EEG reading corpus. We are seeking passionate and driven individuals, from undergrads to PhDs, to take **full ownership** of the projects for 2024 August – December. Specific roles include: ⭐️ Embedded Systems Engineer (Project 1, 2) ⭐️ Software Engineer (Project 1, 2) ⭐️ Electrical Engineer (Project 1) ⭐️ Neuroengineer (Project 2) ⭐️ Data Scientist (Project 3) ⭐️ ML Engineer (Project 3) ⭐️ Neuroscience Specialist (Project 3) If you are excited about contributing to the neurotech field, apply now through this link by **this Friday (5/24) EOD**: https://lnkd.in/gBhshj2Y Further details can be found in our project and role postings document below. We believe the #neurotech industry holds tremendous promise but is still evolving. We are committed to supporting high-impact projects that may be challenging for companies to pursue independently. If your organization is interested in collaborating, please reach out to us. IMPORTANT NOTES: - These are NOT official hires by any of the partnering organizations, but they are instead Stanford Neurotech's internal roles. - Unfortunately at the moment this opportunity is only open to matriculated students at Stanford via undergraduate, MS, or PhD programs. However, we are dedicated to contributing to the burgeoning field of neurotechnology, and we are actively exploring ways to get the greater neurotech community involved in the future. #neurotechnology #neurotech #electricalengineering #embeddedsystems #softwareengineering #neuroengineering #neuroscience
