After a rigorous process of research, problem identification in Memphis's mobility scene, workshops, office hours, and proposal preparation, our semi-finalists pitched their pilots at Demo Day. We are excited to announce the winners of the Mobility Pilot Grants : Asha's Refuge: A non-profit organization dedicated to supporting refugees and court-approved asylees. Recognizing the significant resource shortages and language barriers faced by newcomers, Asha's Refuge aims to empower these individuals by providing access to a private vehicle, thereby facilitating their access to legal services, employment, food, and healthcare. In turn, these individuals will help future refugees integrate into society. MedHaul: A digital health platform offering non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) tailored for individuals with special needs. MedHaul handles ride scheduling, connects users with nearby drivers equipped with the necessary amenities, and maintains communication with stakeholders throughout the journey. ServiceSync: A software development agency that is creating a ridesharing platform to connect residential neighborhoods with business centers, starting with restaurants facing staffing and revenue challenges. We sincerely thank all the applicants for their innovative ideas, our steering committee for their exceptional support and guidance throughout this process, and Ford for graciously hosting the Challenge in Memphis.
